How IDrive e2 is billed
e2 bills storage per TB-month — $6 on pay-as-you-go — with a one-terabyte minimum, so the smallest bill is $6 whatever you store. Downloads are free up to three times your active storage and $0.01 per GB beyond. API calls are not charged and there is no minimum storage duration. Annual plans are cheaper per terabyte.
Those are the figures on IDrive e2's pricing page as of 7 October 2026; check there before you decide.
The model favours volume: below a terabyte you pay for capacity you do not use, above a few terabytes the per-TB price is low.
How our side is priced
We do not sell storage by the gigabyte. A plan gives you one monthly pool, and both your peak object storage and the traffic you serve through the CDN draw from it, one to one. There is no per-request fee, no separate egress line and no minimum billable volume.
Small is $9 a month (449 TL) with a 200 GB pool and 1 bucket. Medium is $19 (949 TL) with 400 GB and 3 buckets. Large is $49 (2,449 TL) with 1,000 GB and 10 buckets. The same plan also covers the CDN, the WAF and DDoS protection in front of the bucket, and container apps if you run any.
So the comparison is not "their price per GB against ours" — we do not have one. It is "what would I pay them for storage plus delivery plus protection, against one plan here".
Smaller projects: pay for the pool you need
If your bucket holds 50 or 150 GB, a one-terabyte minimum means paying for empty space. Our smallest plan is a 200 GB pool for $9 — and that pool also covers the traffic you serve through the CDN, with the WAF and DDoS protection in front of it.
Both services speak the S3 API. Moving across is an rclone sync between two S3 remotes, and your application only changes its endpoint (https://s3.cdn.com.tr) and keys.
Where the data sits is your choice
Our storage runs in Turkey, in Europe and in the United States, and a bucket lives where you put it. If your users or your legal obligations are in Turkey, the data can stay in Turkey — which removes the cross-border transfer question under KVKK entirely, rather than leaving you to document it.
Support answers in Turkish and English, in the Turkish time zone, and the invoice can be in Lira.
Where e2 is the better choice
An honest comparison has to say this part.
From a few terabytes upward — backups, media archives, datasets — e2's per-TB price is lower than what our plans work out to, and its annual plans lower it further. It also offers more storage regions than we do.
We fit the other case: a project that wants its files served as well as stored, with CDN, WAF and apps on one bill, the data in a region you choose — including Turkey — and support in Turkish.
IDrive e2 alternative FAQ
Is your storage compatible with e2?
Both implement the S3 API. Change the endpoint to https://s3.cdn.com.tr and the keys, and S3 clients such as the AWS CLI, rclone or boto3 keep working.
Is there a minimum like e2's one terabyte?
No minimum volume. Plans start with a 200 GB pool at $9 a month that covers both stored data and the traffic you serve.
Is IDrive e2 cheaper?
At several terabytes and above, usually yes. Below a terabyte, or when you also need a CDN and WAF in front of the bucket, one of our plans is often the simpler and cheaper bill.
How do I migrate from e2?
Add e2 and https://s3.cdn.com.tr as two S3 remotes in rclone and run a sync; then switch your application's endpoint and keys.
Where is the data stored?
In the region you choose: Turkey, Europe or the United States.
