Understand why some panel actions queue background work before customer traffic changes.
Use cases
A customer changed DNS, SSL, cache, domain, or platform settings and needs to know when the change is active.
Workflow
- Make the panel change.
- Use Apply Changes when the account warns that deployment is needed.
- Open Activity > Operations.
- Wait for success or inspect failure details.
Checks
- The operation belongs to the selected account.
- Status text is customer-safe.
- Retry/cancel guidance exists for failed operations.
Smoke tests
- ApiSecurityContractTest protects operation ownership/redaction.
- Operations route coverage is checked by the help metadata tests.
