Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Anti-DDoS Protection
The Web Application Firewall (WAF) inspects every request at the edge before it reaches your application: SQL injection, XSS and scraper bots are filtered out before they ever touch your origin. The anti-DDoS layer absorbs volumetric attacks across the whole network, so no single server ever faces the full attack.
There is nothing extra to install for DDoS mitigation: protection is active the moment your site sits behind the CDN. Optionally you can add country blocking, an IP blacklist and request rate limiting on sensitive paths. The same rules inspect HTTP/3 connections; a request blocked over QUIC gets the same block page and Reference ID.
Not on a single machine — once the attack saturates your bandwidth, the site is down before any local firewall can react. The right approach is to route traffic through a distributed edge network: the attack is absorbed network-wide, the WAF filters application-layer requests, and only clean traffic reaches your origin. Protección contra bots (JS Challenge)
Muestre a los visitantes sospechosos una breve página de verificación que demuestra que su navegador es real. Los visitantes legítimos no la ven o la ven un segundo; un bot de scraping o de ataque que recibe esa página no puede superarla sin ejecutar JavaScript. Solo se comprueban las peticiones de páginas (HTML): imágenes, archivos y llamadas a la API que no piden HTML pasan directamente. Los buscadores verificados (Google, Bing, Yandex, Apple) nunca se bloquean: su SEO no se ve afectado.
